Hello, my name is Michelle and I am a Wedding/Portrait Photographer in Bakersfield, Ca (& surrounding areas). I am open to travel! I picked up my first digital camera 2 years ago and have taken thousands of photos since. I've read many books, participate in online forums and have taken many workshops. I have been in business almost a year and a half and have photographed over 20 weddings. I enjoy what I do, and love to make couples happy. We have a ton of FUN! I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I've been married 6 years to my husband David and we have one daughter. David has been such a huge support and my family means the world to me. I hope to get to know you so comment as much as you like. I am a very friendly, outgoing person.
I promise I am still here!!!! I have been soooo crazy busy with the Studio, but the great news is that we will open the doors on Aug 1st

I photographed Yessina yesterday, she is very stunning. Can you believe she is only 15 years old?? She was tons of fun, a little shy at first she didn’t want to SCREAM at me, come on it’s not to hard. hehe… Well Mimi and Yessina I hope I held up to what you thought your experince would be with me. I am glad I met you both, enjoy this small peek.
I can’t hold it in anymore!!!! As most of you know I have been in business a year and a half, I totally love and enjoy what I do, so I thought it was finally time to make a change. A Studio!!!!! Thats right I now have a studio, well we will be officially open hopefully Aug 1st 2008. It will be a full service studio, so get your children and families ready to come in. I have many, many other little things coming as well, I will give a few hints here and there over the next month before we open. We will be having a Network/Grand Opening party coming up in the next few weeks, I have a little extra room for people to come and enjoy themseleves, so if you would like an invite email me (5-10 people). Those that I have already in my network group I will be giving you a call within this week. Here is a small sneak peak of the before photos. I will keep you up on our procress.

With Wedding season in full swing I wanted to post some cakes that I think are awesome! Cakes are one of the things I totally look forward to seeing at a wedding. Cakes really tell a lot about a persons personality, most of these cakes here fit my style and personality FUN, outspoken and a little wild. When I was 19 my family moved to Wasco, Ca and there was this bakery called Rosie’s Cakes and Cookies and man was this place yummy, the best cakes I have ever eaten. So when I decided to get married I had Rosie bake my cake and ever since then she has baked for me. I was VERY excited to hear she opened up a Bakersfield bakery on Rosedale hwy by the Goodwill store, now I don’t have to drive to Wasco everytime I need a cake. So ladies if you are in the market for an awesome cake Rosie’s is the place to go. Information in my referral above.

The other night I went to Los Angeles for an awesome photography workshop called I shoot People . I try to go to 3-4 workshops a year to keep up on upcoming trends, and keep my mind open. I soooo enjoyed it, can’t wait for my next workshop next month.
I was going through some old photos again and ran into this one, I really enjoyed this couple and this is still one of my favorite photos.

It’s been a long time since I have photographed my daughter “K”. I am going to vow to photograph her once a week, I forgot why I bought a camera in the first place. I really need to get her photos taken professionally (sounds odd huh?) I have been offerred by a great company here in town, which I did plan on getting them done but before I could take her in she cut her bangs in places that couldn’t be fixed. “K” has never sat still before with me, but she did today which really shocked me and made me so happy. So everyone make sure I keep up with my vow, and here is a few photos from today.
I have known Sylvia over a year now and we have grown to be GREAT friends. I was finally excited to photograph her engagements, it’s been a long time coming. We have worked on many projects together. She works as a makeup artist for Copa Cosmectics and she is great at what she does. Lorenzo and Sylvia are getting married in sept and I am soooo excited! They have decided to see each other before the wedding which is better for formals and makes great couple shots which I know is important to sylvia. Here are a few of their photos, enjoy!
